A medium would have been too small. The cuffs are nice touch but the length of the arms are at the limit of what I would have deemed too short. Fine as is but if you have longer arms that might prompt you to size up. I think my wingspan is about average for my size. Shoulders have decent room with mild stretch. If you are bulky in the traps you might want to go XL.
The good: nice materials, good warmth but not overbearing
The bad: as someone else mentioned, the product didn't match the photo. No red tabs or accents. It was all black. Still nice but you aren’t getting what’s advertised if you really like the accents which I felt was a strong point of the jacket compared to other brands.
